    The TOS Healing Network is a free service that practitioners provide to contribute to the positive energy of an individual. This helps the healee’s body find its own balance which leads to healing. Recipients of healing have reported feeling calmer as well as having a more positive outlook. Patients who have been recipients of energetic healing have reported fewer complications during surgery and a decreased recovery time afterwards.

Denver TOS Christmas Project

Denver TS/TOS members showed some love to the cats and kittens cared for at an extraordinary local shelter, the Cat Care Society.  Founded in the 1980's by a veterinarian, the Cat Care Society takes in all cats, no matter how old or sick they may be.  None are turned away, and none are kept in cages.  Cats roam free in large rooms, some of which offer adjacent outdoor enclosures called "catios."  Members donated cat food, a bed, toys, treats, litter, cash, and a pheromone diffuser which helps to calm cats and promote serenity in situations such as shelter life which can be stressful for man

COVID-19 AND A CALL TO ACTION

Providing Meals to Emergency Workers

The COVID-19 pandemic has confined many of us to our homes, but emergency rooms are filled with people suffering from this disease. While staying home is crucial to decrease the spread of this virus, the TOS has found another way to help. To aid the emergency room workers and the local restaurants, the TOS is implementing a new program to provide vegetarian meals from local restaurants to the emergency rooms. Deliveries will be handled by the restaurants themselves. We have already contacted our first hospital, Northwestern Memorial Hospital in downtown Chicago, and they were overwhelmed that such a service was offered. Our goal is to make this a national program. But WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are looking for people who can coordinate with a hospital and a restaurant in their local area. It is just a matter of finding a hospital in need of such a service and a local restaurant in the same area willing to help. All of this can be done from your own home! [node:read-more:link]

Have you ever wondered where all your garbage goes or whether what you put in your recycling bin actually is recycled? Perhaps it runs through your mind, but the thought quickly gets pushed aside by more “pressing” matters. We often think that once we dispose of something it is no longer our concern. The reality of waste only hits us when we see plastic islands in the ocean the size of Texas or watch the tragedy of dolphins and whales beached on our seashore. The image possibly moves us to stop using plastic and while such actions are beneficial, it is important that we try to do more. [node:read-more:link]

Love’s Cup Overfloweth

At the time of this writing, the Australian bushfires still continue. More than one hundred bushfires are still burning, over 12 million acres of land (the size of Vermont and New Hampshire combined) has been destroyed, and many species native to Australia are on the brink of extinction due to the vast loss. If the animals have not lost their lives in the fire, their natural habitat can no longer provide them food and water which means they will eventually die from starvation unless they are rescued.
