• Hurricane Relief

    Donations were collected for hurricane disaster relief in Houston and a total of $2800 was used to help 13 different families. A total of $3400 was collected for the disaster relief in Puerto Rico and was distributed to the TS lodge in Puerto Rico.

    We are working to set up a collection of tried and true vegan recipes to help encourage people who want to adopt a plant based diet, but are not sure how to go about it.   • The Dangers of Plastic

    Members of the Salt Lake City Theosophical Society displayed the devastating effect of plastic pollution on the oceans, animal life, and humanity at the University of Utah. Members set up a massive display and spent hours talking to community member of all ages. According to one man, the display provided “a profound, realistic picture that forces us to look at our choices, and the consequences of that choice.”

    The 2017-2018 winter issue of For the Love of Life is available to read for free online. This edition revolves around ethics. The editorial staff would like to thank its readers for all its support. Physical copies are available by request.

Hesed House

Hesed is a Hebrew word for Kindness. There is a place in my town called Hesed House. It is a place, often of last resort, for the very poorest people in our community. It is the mission of Hesed House to try and help turn things around for the people that knock on their door seeking shelter.
