Humane Society Legislative Fund

General Topics:

BORN OF THE UNION OF The Humane Society of the United States and The Fund for Animals, the Humane Society Legislative Fund (HSLF) is a 501(c)(4) lobbying organization dedicated to advancing laws that will protect animals ― and to fighting laws that would harm them.

The HSLF advocates for state and federal legislation to stop animal cruelty and suffering.  Our opponents have large war chests for legislative and political work.  As a (c)(4) organization, the HSLF can spend an unlimited amount of our income on lobbying work ― helping to level the playing field for animals. We may not be able to match our opponents dollar for dollar, but we will be more aggressive and more effective.  By contributing to the HSLF, you can be a part of the animal protection movement's new political force.

Donations to the Humane Society Legislative Fund can be used to lobby for state and federal laws to protect animals from cruelty and therefore are not tax deductible
