For the last ten years the TOS-USA, along with its international TOS partners, has facilitated the Kern Foundation matching grant program for the Golden Link College (GLC). This grant has supported the education of innumerable children who cannot afford the needed supplies for a solid academic education that encourages theosophical principles. While this might not seem extraordinary, reconsider the fact that very few education systems work to instill non-dogmatic character building at their primary levels. Most education systems that provide any kind of ethical teaching are religion based. Theosophical teachings encourage a child to think through situations while using one’s moral compass as a guide. The teachings provide a worldview that, if taken seriously, can create an infrastructure of how to live in a rather fragmented world. This alone is enough reason to support theosophical educational institutes.
The following is an update received from the Golden Link College regarding the work done in the last year and half and plans for 2021-2022. We’d like to thank those of you who have continued to support this work. Your contributions make a difference in the lives of many children.
