Denver TS/TOS members showed some love to the cats and kittens cared for at an extraordinary local shelter, the Cat Care Society. Founded in the 1980's by a veterinarian, the Cat Care Society takes in all cats, no matter how old or sick they may be. None are turned away, and none are kept in cages. Cats roam free in large rooms, some of which offer adjacent outdoor enclosures called "catios." Members donated cat food, a bed, toys, treats, litter, cash, and a pheromone diffuser which helps to calm cats and promote serenity in situations such as shelter life which can be stressful for many cats. Pictured is "Hammy," a male long-haired lovebug eagerly awaiting adoption.
